壁炉山庄 takes a person-centered approach to memory care, incorporating the seven dimensions of wellness. Both IKF and IRC communities offer individualized therapeutic programs with music, 艺术, 运动, pet and recreational therapy; holistic fitness and well-being programs; technology-based engagement opportunities incorporated into daily life; 24-hour licensed nursing, under the direction of a full time RN; family support, 教育, and engagement; and social integration with the greater 壁炉山庄 community.
Prior to arriving at IRC, Blagburn was the associate director of innovative programming and marketing at a memory care community in Washington, D.C. There she developed an adult day social program for those living at home with neurological decline, and 教育al programs for staff and other providers on addressing the mental health of adults in assisted living 内存支持.
Charlton joins IKF with nearly 30 years of experience working with people with dementia and their families and for the Alzheimer’s Association. 最近, she opened a 内存支持 neighborhood at an assisted living community in Virginia and served there for over three and a half years.
